Course Overview

The Basic Traffic Control for Workers course equips workers with vital skills to perform traffic controller duties safely on roads, following the LTA Code of Practice for Traffic Control at Work Zones. Participants will learn safe methods for placing, operating, and maintaining traffic control devices. This course ensures workers can protect themselves and the public while managing traffic at worksites, including flagging and portable traffic light installation.

Workers involved in LTA-related works, utilities, maintenance, and construction on roads, including traffic controllers, flaggers, banksmen, and portable traffic light installers.

The course is half day, including theoretical sessions.

No prior experience is required. Participants should have at least ES WPLN Level 5 or equivalent.

The course includes written assessments. Participants must achieve 100% competency in both components to receive certification.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate in Basic Traffic Control for Workers, valid for 3 years.
