The Child First Aid Refresher Course is a 1.5-day program designed for individuals who are looking to update their knowledge and skills in child first aid. The course includes e-learning on Day 1, followed by classroom-based practical training on Day 2. It is ideal for childcare workers, teachers, and caregivers who already have prior child first aid certification but need to refresh their skills to meet current standards and compliance.
First Aid Requirements for Childcare Centers
- Certification Requirement: For childcare center staff, the Principal/Key Personnel and at least two other program staff must hold a valid Child First Aid (CFA) certification accredited by SRFAC.
- Staffing Ratios: For centers caring for more than 150 children, an additional staff member with valid CFA certification is required for every additional 50 children or part thereof.
